Rigid Dump Truck
The rigid truck simulator module is based on the HD605-8 but is developed to cover a wider range of Komatsu rigid trucks. Suitable models to train for ranges from the HD325-8 to the HD605-8.
The Rigid Dump Truck module will guide the operator on how to properly operate a Komatsu Rigid Dump Truck. Starting from basic machine knowledge the simulator provides step by step instructions which takes the operator through all aspects involved in operating a Komatsu Rigid Dump Truck.
Instructor Station
Introducing the Teacher Interface, a comprehensive toolset designed to redefine the instructor’s experience.
Comprising the 3D Scenario view and Settings panel, instructors wield unparalleled control over the learning environment with the option to trigger Events and manage Weather conditions. With intuitive toolbar buttons and input devices, instructors navigate the immersive 3D Scenario view, selecting viewpoints and managing scenes effortlessly.
The Teacher Camera offers automatic and free-flying modes, empowering instructors to tailor their perspective for optimal instruction. Essential toolbar functionalities include video recording, visibility masks, and overlay toggles, ensuring seamless customization.
Team Training
Explore the benefits of collaborative learning with Team Training, a multiplayer feature enabling operators of two simulators to seamlessly collaborate within the same environment.
While one operator practices loading techniques with the Hydraulic Excavator or Wheel Loader module, their counterpart can simultaneously hone their skills with the Rigid Truck module in real-time. This dynamic approach fosters enhanced coordination and communication between operators, optimizing training outcomes and preparing teams for real-world scenarios.
For experienced operators confident in their operating abilities the simulator provides multiple production centered scenarios. All scenarios will generate a detailed report including production information, machine usage and any errors performed by the operator.
Scenarios and situations
The module provides 13 different scenarios focusing on basic operations, productivity and safety critical situations. A total of 40 operator errors are tracked by the system (configurable by users with admin level access). Furthermore 10 different safety critical situations are available to practice, including brake failure, engine fire and loss of steering. The step by step training approach ensures all trainees receive the same information and are exposed to all necessary steps in the training.
All scenarios can be set in different weather conditions with different road conditions as well as different time of day. The simulation is set in a large quarry with additional traffic to consider (can be configured to either right hand side or left hand side). Both excavators and wheel loaders are available as load units.
The Rigid Truck module is available in variants with either a single screen (in landscape orientation) or with three screens (configured in landscape orientation).
The Rigid Truck module is currently available in 19 languages and can be expanded with additional languages upon request.
Some currently supported languages are English, Spanish, German, Finnish, French, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish, Chinese, Thai, Arabic and Japanese.
